Influence of the Type of Phase-Transfer Catalytic System and of the Nature of Surface-Active Agents on the Alkylation of Malonic Ester with Allyl Chloride.-The monoalkylation of malonic ester (I) with allyl chloride (II) is shown to proceed most efficiently in the liquid-solid phase system by formation of an omega-phase with the phase-transfer catalyst and trace amounts of water at the surface of potassium hydroxide. As catalysts, several surface-active agents like long-chain alkyl carboxylates, tetraalkylammonium salts as well as polyethylene glycol can be used. -(KOTOVA, T. P.; KOROBEINIKOV, E.
