This paper presents a quasi-TEM equivalent circuit model for two optically driven coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed slot antennas. This model takes into account both the electromagnetic fields in the CPW structure as well as the effects of the discontinuities of the antenna design. The results are compared with simulations taken from IE3d using the method of moments.
A uni-traveling camer waveguide integrated photodiode (UTC-WIP) combining the advantages of a coupled waveguide integrated photodiode (WIP) [ 1-21 and a mi-traveling camer photodiode (UTC-PD) [3-61 is investigated. Preliminary measurement results show that the DC responsivity is 0.4 A/W without antireflection coating, and the peak pulse response can reach 94 mA (4.7 V across a 50 Q load) when the bias voltage is -9 V. The resulting device is capable of operating at 20GHz. The IP3 at 1 GHz and 18 GHz are 24 dBm and 8 dBm, respectively.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
