solar energy is one of the most available forms of natural source available. In the past, harnessing this energy was costly due to the high cost of manufacturing and maintenance of the photovoltaic cells. However, in the recent times the manufacturing cost of panels has come down with the advances in technology. This reduce in cost has enabled to perceive solar energy as a sustainable and economic energy source. In this paper a software model of this mechanism has also been implemented using a simulator and presents a tracking mechanism that improves the average efficiency of a photovoltaic solar panel as compared to a traditional fixed solar panel, by moving the panel in the direction of sun.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
