The coarsening behavior of rod-shaped α-Fe particles in Cu−1.3 wt% Fe and Cu−1.3 wt% Fe−1.2 wt% Sb alloys during aging at 700 °C has been studied by transmission electron microscopy and electric resistivity. The kinetics of the decay of supersaturation with aging
In this paper, the crystallization of the glass with Y 2 Si 2 O 7 -mullite eutectic composition was examined. A dendrite Y 2 Si 2 O 7 crystalline grows from the surface of the glass bulk at 1302 K. A competitive growth of Y 2 Si 2 O 7 phase and mullite phase occurs at 1430 K. The activation energy for the competitive growth can be estimated to 329 kJ/mol. The activation energy for the crystallization of hypoeutectic and hypereutectic composition increases with increasing the amount of the primary phase.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
