This paper describes the optimal values of the capacitance and damping resistance of the power distribution cabinet to prevent oscillation and suppress voltage fluctuations during fuse blowing in a DC power supply system. It is useful and practical to add the capacitance and the damping resistance of the power distribution cabinet because it is easy to add them, and the system can maintain high efficiency. We can calculate the interaction between the capacitance and the damping resistance and find the stability region. However, the voltage fluctuations of the fuse blowing are changed even if the value of the capacitance and the damping resistance are in the stability region for oscillation. We calculated the voltage fluctuations of the fuse blowing using the new fuse model and found a new stability region for this phenomenon that is very practical, useful, and will make DC power supply systems even more reliable.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
