A new digital real-time simulator for FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) has been developed. The IM47ZABJSIMULINK, which can realize flexibility of some realtime models, is applied as software for the model construction. This simulator is connectable with some commercial power systems real-time simulators.This paper describes the modeling of STATCOM and SSSC for the real-time simulator using SIMULINK. The validity of the calculation accuracy of SZMULINK models and the real-time calculation in a SOP time step is presented. It is confirmed that model calculation accuracy is high by comparison with off-line simulation results using EMTDC.
