Carbon nanotube and filament could be obtained by the decomposition of C2H4 using oxidized diamond-supported metal catalysts with three distinct structural types. Oxidized diamond is proposed as a novel catalytic means for the synthesis of nanocarbons. Oxidized diamond may catalyze unique reactions of importance in carbon nanotube and filament synthesis.
In this study, we synthesized carbon nanofilament on ethylene decomposition from it was using oxidized diamond-supported for Ni catalyst. Precious supported metals were used for synthesized of carbon nanofilament and preparation of electrocatalyst by using for methanol oxidation reaction. The electrocatalytic activity of Pt-loaded catalysts were examined by Cyclic voltammetry (CV) measurement. The result of CV measurement, Pt-loaded synthesized CNF was a high catalytic activity than carbon black (Vulcan® XC-72) and multi walls carbon nanotube (MWCNT).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
