A Neutral, Chiral, Bis(imidazolidine)-Derived NCN-Type Palladium Pincer Complex with Catalytic Activity. -The well-organized asymmetric reaction sphere of the title complexes is employed to catalyze the asymmetric reaction of nitroalkenes with malononitrile. The catalytic activity of these complexes is considerably facilitated by formation of a hydrogen bond between the substrate and the N-H proton in the pincer complex. In some cases addition of NaHCO 3 as a base is helpful in improving the yield. -(ARAI*, T.; OKA, I.; MORIHATA, T.; AWATA, A.; MASU, H.; Chem. -Eur. J. 19 (2013) 5, 1554-1557, http://dx.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
