One of the ways to improve the quality of Indonesian Durian is by utilizing germplasm diversity. Durio zibethinus is the most cultivated durian in Indonesia, whereas Durio kutejensis is a unique durian cultivar which has golden yellow fruit flesh without smell. Crossbreeding of those two cultivars, in order to generate superior Durian cultivars has been done. Genetic diversity of durian generates from cross breeding between D. kutejensis and D. zibethinus was identified in molecular level using RAPD technique. Among 20 primers used in this study, 5 primers: OPA-02, OPA-03, OPA-08, OPA-10 and OPA-13 were capable of differentiating both the parents and the hybrids. RAPD analysis resulted in genetic diversity of hybrid Durian with family relationship of 0.59% -0.1%. Hybrids UB1, UB5, UB13, UB19, UB21, UB7 and UB35 have similarity value of 0.81% with their parent DRCK, whereas hybrids UB8, UB10, UB18 and UB17 have similarity value of 0.70% with their parent DRCM1. Hybrids UB2, UB16 and UB22 belong to one group with similarity value of 0.67%. Three hybrids lines UB2, UB16 and UB22 show the highest distance to both parent. The rest of the hybrids lines grouped into similar cluster to the parents D. kutejensis, whereas the other parent (D. zibethinus) belong to different cluster separated from all other hybrid lines and parents.
This study aims to determine the effect of growth regulators Hormonik against Parthenocarpy process on three major varieties of pepper plants and to determine the effect of plant growth regulator that is optimum for the process Hormonik Parthenocarpy in three major varieties of chili. This research was conducted in Tanjung Selor, in January to May 2016. The design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors and nine replications. The first factor is the treatment Hormonik consisting of four levels ie 0 cc, 1 cc, 2 cc, 3 cc, the second factor is the variety Arielle, Darmais and Pilar. From the analysis of variance showed that the treatment Hormonik to varieties of very significant effect on the parameters of heavy fruit crop, the number of fruit crops, fruit length persampel and the number of seeds persampel first harvest, after a further test using LSD 5%, by weight of fruit crops and the amount of fruit planting the first crop was not significantly different, but significantly different with persampel fruit length and number of seeds persampel first harvest.
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dosis pupuk organik cair buah mengkudu yang optimum pada tiga varietas tanaman melon (Cucumis melo L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan dua faktor dan tiga ulangan, Faktor pertama kosentrasi POC ekstrak buah mengkudu yang terdiri dari empat taraf yaitu 0,25%, 0,3%, 0,35% dan 0,4% sedangkan faktor kedua varietas, terdiri dari tiga yaitu varietas amanta, eagle dan glamour. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian POC ekstrak buah mengkudu tidak berpengaruh nyata pada panjang sulur, jumlah dan lebar daun umur tanaman 3 MST, 4 MST dan berpengaruh nyata pada umur 5 MST. Perlakuan POC ekstrak buah mengkudu 0,25% pada varietas amanta menghasilkan berat buah melon yang terbaik yaitu 995,40 gram.
This study aims to analyze the effect of motivation on work spirit and business performance of farmers in SP1 Tanjung Buka, Tanjung Selor District. This study uses a quantitative approach by using a survey method. Implementation time is carried out for six (6) months. The Slovin formula was used to determine the research sample, and a sample of 100 farmers was obtained. The data was processed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis tool. The results showed that motivation had a significant positive effect on work morale, motivation had a significant positive effect on business performance and work morale had a significant positive effect on business performance. The indirect effect of motivation on business performance with intervening morale has a significant effect. The influence of the motivation variable and the work spirit variable affects the variation of the data on the business performance variable by 36%, the remaining 64% is influenced by other factors outside this study, while the influence of the motivation variable affects the variation of the data on the work morale variable, the remaining 87% is influenced by other factors.
