Injection molding is characterized by complex dynamics, which makes quality difficult to control. This is because the exact relations among the machine inputs, material properties, and molded part quality are not known precisely. Hence, the existing models for quality prediction have a limited accuracy and difficulty in application to general molding applications. This article investigates the integration of analytical process knowledge and artificial neural networks as a solution for quality prediction of molded parts, with accuracy increased toward quality control targets of three defects per million (60). This article describes the hybrid system based on the neural network and process knowledge, then compares its performances with conventional neural models for the prediction of the injection pressure.

The transition to strength classes in the design of wooden structures allows correctly assessing the level of reliability of the designed constructions. The article presents a comparison analysis of the safety factor values in the Russian regulative standards and those previously in force and assesses their impact on the reliability level. The influence of the transition to probabilistic normalization of the strength properties of elements and structures made of wood in general using strength classes is substantiated. The development of the approach will significantly improve the reliability and safety of wooden structures, especially large-span structures and multi-storey buildings.

Summary The saving and investment balance can ensure the stability of the financial market. The aim of the study is to analyse the dynamics of the saving-investment balance in the Republic of Moldova and its impact on economic growth. The role and possibilities of attracting foreign investments into fixed assets are presented. The indicator of investment growth with a low level of gross savings is a signal or a harbinger of a decline in economic growth. According to the National Bank of Moldova, legal export of capital from the Republic of Moldova takes only a small part in the process of export of capital. The leading role in the mechanism of transformation of savings into investment should belong to BNM.
