At the BL43IR of SPring-8, infrared microanalysis on various kinds of solid specimens under multiple environments with a spatial resolution smaller than 10 μm in diameter is planned in the infrared region. In order to perform such analysis, two different stations, a multipurpose spectromicroscopy apparatus and a magneto-optical imaging one have been constructed. Measurements on the spatial two-dimensional cross-section of the infrared beam at the spectromicroscopy station have proven that the stations have a good prospective feature in the performance
We present evidence for unconventional superconducting fluctuations in a heavy-fermion compound CeNi2Ge2. The temperature dependence of the 73 Ge nuclear-spin-lattice-relaxation rate 1/T1 indicates the development of magnetic correlations and the formation of a Fermi-liquid state at temperatures lower than TFL = 0.4 K, where 1/T1T is constant. The resistance and 1/T1T measured on an as-grown sample decrease below T onset c = 0.2 K and T NQR c = 0.1 K, respectively; these are indicative of the onset of superconductivity. However, after annealing the sample to improve its quality, these superconducting signatures disappear. These results are consistent with the emergence of unconventional superconducting fluctuations in close proximity to a quantum critical point from the superconducting to the normal phase in CeNi2Ge2.
Abstract:Measurement and analysis of rampart's status are performed in rampart restoration. And, a part to be restored and an unnecessary part are investigated from the analysis result. The part to be restored is usually investigated using the sectional view. However, modification can be grasped only in the position that the sectional view is created. There, we tried to grasp curvature change of the whole rampart face by performing measurement and analysis of the overall form of the rampart using 3D laser profiler, and to pinpoint a part to be restored and an unnecessary part visually. By this method it become possible to grasp the state of the detailed whole rampart face, it also became possible to grasp the local modification overlooked until now. Furthermore, since modification was visually expressed as a color spectrum picture, the practical use was also attained as data that show the necessity for restoration etc.
