Traditionally the health records of the patient are stored in a hospital database and the hospital administration or the healthcare provider generally retain access to this medical data. The health records of patients are scattered among different hospitals. Hence, it becomes difficult to access the historical data of the patient when needed. These results are delayed and possibly incomplete data provided by the patient to their doctor. These flaws can be overcome by the implementation of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Blockchain provides a decentralized platform for storing and accessing EHR, which is almost impossible to tamper with. Every user in the network acts as a node and has a ledger that stores all the data, which means the possibility of a loss of data is extremely low. Our work aims to simplify the accessing and managing of patients’ historical medical records using a decentralized application and blockchain technology.
Wireless sensors are used in most of the in real time applications for collecting physical information. The impossible measurements in typical ways have currently become attainable using the wireless technology. In this technology, the measurement of air quality is one of the difficult areas for the researchers. The main source of atmosphere pollution happens due to vehicles. The high inflow of vehicles in urban areas causing more air pollution and decreasing air quality that leads to severe health diseases. The main objective of the paper is to introduce vehicular pollution monitoring system using Internet of Things (IoT) which iscapable of detecting vehicles causing pollution on the city roadsand measures various types of pollutants, and its level in air. This paper also reports the status of air quality whenever needed to the environmental agencies. The proposed system also assures the existence of wireless sensors for vehicle pollution system that specialize in a straight forward accessibility of real time data through IoT. The measured data is also shared to vehicle owner, traffic department and agencies of national environment. This system is a low cost and provides good results in controlling the air pollution especially in the urban areas.
Biometric authentication systems have gained significant attention in recent years as a secure and convenient means of verifying an individual's identity. These systems utilize unique biological and behavioural characteristics, such as fingerprints, facial features, iris patterns, and voice recognition, to authenticate users. While biometric authentication offers several advantages over traditional authentication methods, it also raises concerns regarding privacy and data security. This study aims to explore the landscape of biometric authentication systems, identify privacy concerns associated with their implementation, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
The World Wide Web, which has started as a document repository, is rapidly transforming to a full fledged virtual environment that facilitates services, interaction, and communication. Under this light, the Semantic Web and Web 2.0 movements can be seen as intermediate steps of a natural evolution towards a new paradigm, the 3D Internet. We provide an overview of the concept 3D Internet and discuss why it is a goal worth pursuing, what it does entail, and how one can realize it. Our goal in this paper is to discuss a research agenda and raise interest in networking, security, distributed computing, and machine learning communities. We explore first the motivation for the 3D Internet and the possibilities it brings. Subsequently, we investigate the specific system level and research challenges that need to be addressed in order to make the 3D Internet a reality.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
