Novel Synthetic Route to 1,4-Dihydropyridines from β-Amino Acrylates by Using Titanium(IV) Chloride under Facile Conditions. -The cyclotrimerization of N-alkyl-or N-aryl-amino acrylates in the presence of substoichiometric amounts of TiCl4 affords dihydropyridines generally in high yields. The TFA-induced cyclization of amido acrylates such as (Va) as well as related secondary amines like (Vb) and (Vc) affords oxazolidinones. -(SIRIJINDALERT, T.; HANSUTHIRAKUL, K.; RASHATASAKHON, P.; SUKWATTANASINITT, M.; AJAVAKOM*, A.; Tetrahedron 66 (2010) 27-28, 5161-5167,
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
