A multisystem inflammatory syndrome is a rare emerging entity, resembling Kawasaki disease after covid 2019 viral illness(1). Here, we describe a case of MIS -A in a 21year old girl who presented with fever, mucocutaneous rash and multisystem involvement, which was treated with intravenous immunoglobulins and methylprednisolone, resulting in uneventful recovery with prompt treatment and care at Jaffna Teaching hospital.
Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (KFD) is an unusual clinical entity among tropical countries like Srilanka. It follows the self-limiting course with the background of uncertain pathogenesis Here we report a case of a 15-year-old boy who presented with fever with generalized lymphadinitis. The clinical and histological features overlap with infective, autoimmune, and malignant diseases. It slowly resolves the nature and limited exposure to KFD, posing a considerable challenge.
