For a long time, Donglingcao tablets (DLCT) has been considered as a valuable traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) preparation. The five-wavelength fusion fingerprints (FWFFP) of 16 batches of DLCT, which avoided fluctuation of single wavelength evaluation, were established to analyze fingerprint similarity by ratio fingerprint quantitative method (RFQM). Furthermore, electrochemical oscillation fingerprints (ECOFP) of DLCT from different manufacturers were studied by Belousov Zhabotinskii (B-Z) oscillating system at con-stant temperature. In addition, intrinsic characteristics of DLCT from different manufacturers were determined by chemometric methods, and they can well distinguish samples of each manufacturer. Meanwhile, partial least squares (PLS) model was built to predict antioxidant activity of DLCT and to correlate with components in the fingerprint, which proved significant contribution of peaks 16-rosmarinic acid and 19-oridonin. The combination of FWFFP with antioxidant and ECOFP provided a new idea for identification and analysis of DLCT.
Chinese herbal medicine compound prescription (CHM-CP) contains more complex active compounds than single herbal medicine owing to its compatibility. Hence, finding an effective, rapid, and comprehensive quality control method for...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
