Zur Leistungsberechnung sowie zur Dimensionierung und Optimierung yon Kommissioniersystemen ist daher die Kenntnis der funktionalen Abh/ingigkeit der mittleren Wegzeit von allen wesentlichen EinfluBfaktoren erforderlich.Abstract: The average time which is necessary to walk or drive through a certain rack system for picking the positions of a given order determines substantially the performance of the order picker. The analytical calculation of this average travel time is an interesting combinatorial problem which is solved in this paper. The results can be used for the calculation of performances and the optimization of order picking systems.
