In this paper an approach to assess the performances of the production structures is introduced. Key figures within this approach are the performance limit of the production structure and the control dependence of the production performance. These figures are visualised for different production structures in a production structure portfolio.
Kurzfassung
Viele Unternehmen führen Lean Management mit Fokus auf Einzelmethoden ein, häufig bleiben jedoch die erhofften Erfolge aus. Der vorliegende Beitrag zeigt auf, dass für eine erfolgreiche Einführung von Lean Management der Wandel der Unternehmenskultur von entscheidender Bedeutung ist. Es werden wichtige unternehmerische Kulturelemente identifiziert und deren Beeinflussbarkeit über zentrale Lean Management-Methoden diskutiert. Der Artikel zeigt außerdem anhand von drei kritischen Erfolgsfaktoren, wie die Einführung von Lean Management in indirekten Bereichen gelingen kann.
Modern large-scale companies are facing the challenge of how to prioritize improvement projects for business processes. This article offers a concept on how to approach this challenge using quantitative process maps. For the process maps treemaps are used, visualizing the most important processes of a company and the degree of needed change. Inside the article, the way to build up the process map, deriving important processes from the strategy and evaluating them regarding risks, maturity level, key performance indicators and given improvement ideas from idea management, is described. The paper also offers a concept for building up responsibilities and structuring the yearly process for process optimization.
This paper presents an approach for the operational controlling of the assembly in timed assembly cycles focussing on large-scale products. In order to handle the assembly of small quantities and long assembly times a controlling method based on predefined actions initiated according to the deviation of four KPIs (key performance indicator) can be implemented. The selected KPIs are missing parts, disturbances, resources and overdue work on the critical path of the assembly process to focus on the early fault detection during the assembly. Therefore the predefined actions in the operational controlling are taskforces, escalation, people shift between stations and overtime.
