The purpose of this research is to present a comprehensive bibliography of genetic algorithm application research in business. Ninety-seven genetic algorithm papers (98 applications) are identified through the exhaustive literature searches. A classification of these articles by application area reveals that genetic algorithms are being used for a diverse range of corporate functional activities, particularly in the areas of production/operations and information systems. Information on the genetic algorithm development tool/language and the computer operating environment as reported in each article is included. Those journals which have published the most genetic algorithm business applications are also presented.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
