The klystron test facility at JAERI, Naka was originally intended for testing of the JT-60 klystron at the power level of up to 1.4 MW. Its power supply has been modified with adding some components for testing of a gyrotron at -90 kV, with load current of dc 30-35 A. The load duty cycle is a pulse of 10 seconds duration with pulse repetition period of 2.5 minutes.This paper reports the design and test results of the power supply system.
