ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan modifikasi zeolit dengan perlakuan hidrotermal. Modifikasi zeolit dilakukan dengan pencucian asam, selanjutnya mencampurkan larutan tetrametilammonium bromida ke dalam zeolit kemudian dipanaskan pada 200°C dalam autoklaf selama 48 jam dengan pengadukan berkala selama 5 menit per jam, dikeringkan pada 120°C selanjutnya dikalsinasi pada suhu 500°C selama 5,5 jam. Karakterisasi hasil dilakukan dengan difraktometer sinar-X. Disimpulkan bahwa adanya perlakuan hidrotermal merubah komposisi mineral zeolit, klinoptilolit berkurang 11,62%, mordenit meningkat 18,37% serta meningkatkan kristalinitas kedua mineral tersebut. ABSTRACTModification zeolit by hidrotermal treatment has been done. Modification was carried out by acidic washing, after that mixed it with tetrametilammonium bromide solution then heated the mixture at 200°C in autoclave for 48 hours by discontinue stirring for 5 minute every hours, it dried at 120°C then calsinated at 500°C for 5.5 hours. The product was characterized by X-ray difractometer. It was concluded that mineral composition of zeolite changed by hydrothermal treatment, decreasing of klinoptilolit contain was 11.62%, increasing of mordenit contain was 18.37% and increasing its cristallinity.
ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan sintesis katalis Pd/Ce/Zeolit, sintesis dilakukan dengan cara impregnasi larutan garam palladium dan serium pada zeolit, kalsinasi dilakukan pada suhu 600°C dengan dialiri N2 selama 4 jam kemudian O2 selama 1 jam selanjutnya direduksi dengan H2 pada 900°C selama 5 jam. Karakterisasi katalis dilakukan dengan menggunakan difraktometer sinar-X dan uji katalitik dilakukan terhadap umpan gas CO, banyaknya CO yang terkonversi ditentukan dengan kromatografi gas. Disimpulkan bahwa spesies logam yang terbentuk adalah Pd(0), PdO, PdO2, Ce2O3,dan Ce6O11. Katalis Pd/Ce/zeolit pada konsentrasi Ce 3% adalah yang terbaik mempunyai ukuran partikel PdO/ Ce2O3 279,09/263,69 dengan kemampuan konversi terhadap gas CO 78,789% pada suhu 700°C. Kata kunci: Katalis, impregnasi, kalsinasi SYNTHESIS AND CARACTERISAZION Pd/Ce/ZEOLITE CATALYST ABSTRACTSynthesis and caracterizasion Pd/Ce/Zeolit catalyst has been done, Synthesis was carried out by reimpregnation palladium and serium salts solution in to zeolite,the product was calcinated at 600°C in N2 atmosfer for four hours and then O2 for one hours, then reducted by H2 at 900°C for five hours. The product was caracterize by using X-ray difractometer, the catalytic test to CO gas, it convertion power determinated by gas chromatografi. It was concluded that metal spesies formed were Pd(0), PdO, PdO2, Ce2O3 and Ce6O11. Pd/Ce/Zeolite by Ce 3% is the best catalyst, it has PdO/Ce2O3 particle size 279.09/263.69 by convertion power to CO gas 78.789% at 700°C.
