Drought is a constant threat to Vietnam which causes great damage to the economy as well as forest ecosystems. Due to the increasingly complex drought-related impacts, remote sensing technology with outstanding advantages compared to traditional research methods has been applied effectively in research, monitoring, and coping with drought. Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Land Surface Temperature (LST) were calculated from Landsat imagery.
