Self-confidence Not everyone has good self-confidence. Therefore, it needs to be encouraged in several ways: through public speaking combined with personal branding. The purpose of this service was to develop public speaking and personal branding skills for student organization managers at SMA Dharma Wanita Surabaya through the PIKAT scheme. The training is divided into two; offline and online. The training program is carried out by carrying out counseling on public speaking and personal branding based on theories in communication. The second activity is to train public speaking and personal branding where the participants can practice their public speaking skills. Monitoring after mentoring and training activities is still carried out. At the end of the program, there are four outputs/recommendations, training modules, activity news, and community service journals. It can be concluded that this activity encourages the development of public speaking and personal branding skills for student organization managers at SMA Dharma Wanita Surabaya.
The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the economic sectors that excel in any category of contribution and growth; (2) the sector that can create jobs to the maximum; (3) The most efficient sectors to be developed; and (4) sectors with potential to absorb labor maximum is agriculture, livestock, forestry and fisheries; the construction sector; trade, hotels and restaurants; and transport and communications; (3) an efficient sector to be developed in the town of Kediri, namely agriculture, livestock, forestry and fisheries; transport and communications; the financial sector, real estate and business services; and the services sector; (4) based on (3) an efficient sector to be developed in the town of Kediri, namely agriculture, livestock, forestry and fisheries; transport and communications; the financial sector, real estate and business services; and the services sector; (4) based on the growth pattern of each sector there is no sector that is advancing and growing rapidly or quadrant I, the sector that includes quadrant II is a sector forward but stressed that is manufacturing sector, quadrant III potential sectors there are mining and quarrying, trade, hotels and restaurants, and the services sector, while the five other sectors is relatively lagging sector.
Ilmu teknik mesin menjadi sebuah keilmuan yang berkontribusi besar dalam kecanggihan teknologi, diantaranya yaitu adanya keilmuan terkait komposit, mekratonika, nanoteknologi, manufaktur, biomekatronik dan yang sedang mendapat sorotan saat ini adalah tentang alat-alat medis. Aplikasi ilmu teknik mesin pada dunia biomedik disosialisasikan di Jurusan Teknik Pemesinan SMK Turen Malang oleh program studi teknik mesin melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM). Materi sosialisasi disampaikan dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi interaktif. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pengetahuan dan wawasan pada siswa dan guru-guru di SMK Turen Malang terutama di Jurusan Teknik Pemesinan.
Struvite was a white crystal known as Magnesium Ammonium Phosphate Hexahydrate (MgNH4PO4.6H2O). In industry, struvite was found in the pipes crust which the hot fluid through passes. Struvite is often used as fertilizer because it contains phosphate content. The one of benefits of struvite crystals is slow release fertilizer, so it can be more durable, which is good for the growth of the plants. The Precipitation technology is currently one of the most widely applied technologies in struvite formation. The process of forming struvite is carried out by using a vertical reactor. The process started by mixing the equimolar solutions of MgCl2, NH4OH, and H3PO4 with a concentration ratio of 1: 1: 1 and 1: 1: 2. The process was carried out with the condition at the 30°C while the air inlet rate was 1.25 liters/min. The pH of the solution is pH 9 and controlled using NaOH solution. The process was carried out in the steady state condition. Then the solution was filtered and solid was dried at room temperature for 48 hours. From this study, the concentration ratio of 1:1:2 was obtained the best composition of struvite compared to the others ratio. The solid was analyzed by using the SEM-EDX instrument. The morphology of struvite was formed an irregular pyramid-like crystal or commonly referred to as an authorhombic shape.
Coconut is one of the leading commodities of plantation crops for the community in East Lenteng Village, Sumenep Regency, East Java. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, the area of coconut plantations in Lenteng District reaches 3114 ha. Generally, the use of coconut plants by the local community only extracts coconut water and flesh, resulting in waste in the form of coconut coir in the amount of 910 tons. Therefore, finding innovative and effective solutions to process the coconut coir waste into superior products with benefits and economic value. This community service activity aims to process coconut coir waste into derivative products in the form of cocofiber and cocopeat. Later, cocofiber and cocopeat are used as basic materials for filling mattresses, pillows, and planting media that can provide added value. The implementation method consisted of direct field observations, formulation of problems and solutions, data collection of coco fiber samples, processing of coconut coir waste, application of science and technology, and evaluation. Based on the results of performed activities, the residents of East Lenteng Village can discover the process of processing coconut coir waste into cocofiber and cocopeat. In addition, the residents of East Lenteng Village also gain knowledge regarding using more practical and efficient processing machines of coconut coir waste. Based on the test results of the processing machine of coconut coir waste, the measured capacity of cocopeat production reaches 3 kg/hour while cocofiber reaches 1 kg/hour.
