A method is presented for the lead determination in calcium phosphate and -sulphate matrices. Pb is separated from the matrix by solid-liquid extraction on a Pb-selective column ''Sr * Spec'' (Eichrom) and subsequently determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. The yield of the chemical separation is determined by using Pb. The method is suitable in principle for any material containing more than three times the standard deviation in the blank, being 30 g kg\ Pb. Application of the method to phosphogypsum, phosphate ore, phosphoric acid and (certified) reference materials such as soils, sediments, coal fly ash, citrus leaves and cabbage yielded accurate Pb results.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
