The paper deals with the dimensioning of SF6 circuit‐breakers based on a computer program and short‐circuit breaking tests. The procedure leads to an optimization of the design of the circuit‐breaker taking into account the parameters gas pressure, contact motion, dimensions of the active parts and short‐circuit breaking current. Thus, the most advantageous breaker design no longer has to be determined only by empirical testing.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
