-009Thermal Expansion of RNi 2 B 2 C Single Crystals.-As revealed by single crystal XRD, the lattice parameters a and unit cell volumes for the tetragonal compounds LnNi 2 B 2 C (Ln: Y, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Lu) increase with increasing temperature between 90 and 360 K, while the axial ratios c/a of the unit cell parameters decrease. A minimum in the temperature dependence of the lattice parameter c, which shifts towards lower temperatures with increasing atomic number of the rare earth element is observed. -(JAENICKE-ROESSLER, U.; PAUFLER, P.; ZAHN, G.; GEUPEL, S.; BEHR, G.; BITTERLICH, H.; J.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
