Background: The incidence of stunting is influenced by various factors, one of which is income in the household, therefore it is necessary to make efforts to increase income, including the family farming business. Aim: This study aims to determine the contribution of family farming businesses in increasing income and the incidence of stunting at the household level. Method: This research is a type of qualitative research, while data collection techniques are carried out by exploring journals and other information relevant to the study. Findings: The results of the study show that the contribution of family farming businesses can increase income, this can have an impact on increasing the ability to buy nutritious food, thereby reducing the risk of stunting at the household level.
Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh campuran arang kotoran kambing dan tempurung saboak terhadap kualitas bakar briket bioarang. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah P1꞊ kotoran kambing 25% dan tempurung saboak 75%, P2꞊ kotoran kambing 50% dan tempurung saboak 50%, P3꞊ kotoran kambing 75% dan tempurung saboak 25% dan P4꞊ kotoran kambing 100% . Variabel yang diteliti: temperatur bakar, ketahanan bakar, laju pembakaran, warna pembakaran, asap dan kemampuan mendidihkan air. Analisis keragaman menunjukkan perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap temperatur bakar, warna pembakaran, ketahanan bakar, laju pembakaran dan kemampuan mendidihkan air tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap asap. Rataan temperatur bakar 264,60 °C; laju pembakaran 2,29 g/m; ketahanan bakar 175 menit; warna pembakaran cenderung merah (skor 2,75); dan tidak ada asap (skor 3,98); kemampuan mendidihkan air 14,75 menit. Disimpulkan meningkatnya level kotoran kambing dalam campuran menghasilkan kualitas bakar briket dengan indikasi temperatur bakar yang menurun, laju pembakaran yang semakin cepat, ketahanan bakar lebih singkat, kemampuan mendidihkan air lebih lama dan mengurangi warna pembakaran, tetapi tidak menimbulkan asap. Kualitas bakar briket bioarang terbaik pada campuran arang kotoran kambing 25 % dan tempurung saboak 75 % (P1). ------------------------ Kata kunci: briket bioarang, kotoran kambing, kualitas bakar, tempurung saboak. ABSTRACT The experiment goals was to determine burning quality of biocharcoal briquettes mixed of goat dung and lontar shell. The completely randomized design consist of 4 treatments and 4 replications was applied. Those treatments were P1꞊ 25% goat dung charcoal and 75% lontar shell, P2 ꞊ 50% goat dung charcoal and 50% lontar shell, P3 ꞊ goat dung charcoal 75% and 25% lontar shell and P4꞊ goat dung charcoal 100% .Variables observed were burning temperature, combustion rate, burning resistance, color and smoke and water boilling ability. The statistical analysys showed that treatment have a very significant effect (P<0.01) on burning temperature, combustion rate, burning resistance, color and water boiling ability but no significant (P>0.05) on smoke. The average of burning temperature 264.60 °C; combustion rate 2.29 g/m; burning resistance 175 minutes; fire color tend to red (2.75); without smoke (3.98); water boilling abillity 14.75 minutes. Increasing levels of goat dung in mixed produce biocharcoal briquettes indicated lower in burning temperature, burning resistance, fire color, and water boiling abillity, increase combustion rate, and without smoke. The best quality of biocharcoal briquettes founded at a mixture of 25% goat dung charcoal and 75% lontar shell (P1). ------------------------------ Keywords: biochar briquettes, burning quality, goat dung, saboak shells.
Penelitian dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh dari pemberian pakan komplit (kombinasi silase jerami jagung dan konsentrat) dengan level berbeda terhadap ukuran linear tubuh Sapi Bali penggemukan. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap Sapi Bali berumur 1-1,5 tahun sebanyak 12 ekor, bobot badan 66-93 kg dan rataan 82 kg, serta koefisien variasi (KV) 10,28%. Penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap, terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 pengulangan. Rancangan perlakuan dalam penelitian ini adalah P0 = 80% silase jerami jagung + 20% konsentrat, P1 = 60% silase jerami jagung + 40% konsentrat, P2 = 40% silase jerami jagung + 60% konsentrat dan P3 =20% silase jerami jagung + 80% konsentrat. Pengukuran ukuran linear tubuh dilakukan dengan bantuan alat meter ukur merek Animeter dan tongkat ukur dengan satuan terkecil 1 mm. Pengukuran ukuran linier tubuh menggunakan meter ukur merek Animeter dan tongkat ukur dengan satuan terkecil 1mm. Rataan hasil penelitian menunjukan pertambahan panjang badan (cm) (cm) P00=0,09, P1=0,11, P2=0,10, P3=0,12, pertambahan lingkar dada (cm) (cm) P00=0.15, P1=0,16, P2=0,18, P3=0,15, pertambaan tinggi pundak (cm) (cm) P00=0,9, P1=0,11, P2=0,10, P3=0,11. Analisis statistik statistic menunjukkan perlakuan berpengaruh berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap pertambahan ukuran linear tubuh Sapi Bali penggemukan. Dapat Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi silase jerami jagung dan konsentrat dengan level pemberian berbeda terhadap pertambahan ukuran linear tubuh Sapi Bali penggemukan memberikan kecendrungan yang relatif sama. The average of the results showed an increase in body length (cm) P0 = 0.09, P1 = 0.11, P2 = 0.10, P3 = 0.12, an increase in chest circumference (cm) P0 = 0.15, P1 = 0.16, P2 = 0.18, P3=0,15, increase in shoulder height (cm) P0=0,9, P1=0,11, P2=0,10, P3=0,11. The statistic analysis showed that the treatments had no significant effect (P>0,05 ) to increase in body linear size of fattening Bali cattle. Can be concluded that the combination of corn straw silage and concentrate treatment with different levels of giving to the increase in body linear size of fattening Bali cattle gives a relatively similar tendency.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan komplit kombinasi silase batang pisang dan konsentrat dengan level yang berbedah terhadap nilai Hemoglobin, Eriktrosit dan hematokrit darah sapi Bali penggemukan. Ternak sapi Bali jantan sebanyak 12 ekor dengan kisaran umur 1-1,5 tahun dan berat badan 80,5-97 kg (x̄=89,4 kg) digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Adapun perlakuan dalam penelitan adalah RO = pakan komplit (silase batang pisang 80% + 20% konsentrat), R1= pakan komplit (silase batang pisang 70% + konsentrat 30%), R2= pakan komplit (silase batang pisang 60% + konsentrat 20%) R3 = pakan komplit (silase batang pisang 50% + konsentrat 20%). Variabel yang diuji dalam penelitian ini adalah hemoglobin, eritrosit dan hematokrit . Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Of Variance (ANOVA). Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rataan nilai hemoglobin untuk Ro =10.35±0.68 g/dl, R1 = 11.24±0.60 g/dl, R2 = 11.37±0.45 g/dl, dan R3 = 11.55±0.51 g/dl. Rataan nilai Eritrosituntuk perlakuan Ro = 9.78±047(106/µl), R1 = 10.09±0.05 (106/µl), R2 = 10.78±0,05 (106/µl), dan R3 =10.38±0.33 (106/µl). nilai Hematokrit untuk perlakuan Ro = 11.82±0,61(104/µl) , R1 = 12.70±0.44 (104/µl), R2 = 12.28±1.07(104/µl) dan R3 =11.89± 0.72 (106/µl). Hasil ANOVA menunjukan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata P>0,05 terhadap nilai hemoglobin, eritrosit dan hemotokrit darah sapi Bali penggemukan. Disimpulkan bahwa ternak sapi Bali penggemukan yang mengkonsumsi pakan komplit kombinasi silase batang pisang dan konsentrat dengan level yang berbeda memberikan kecendrungan yang relaive sama untuk profil darah yaitu nilai hemoglobin, eriktrosit, dan hematokrit dan berada dalam kisaran normal.
