This literature review aims to identify common theme in STEM education and to find out the scope of STEM education from previous studies that would provide information to researchers as well as the stakeholders on how they should focus on the implementation of STEM education. The author creates the research questions, "What are the common themes in STEM education?" and "What are scopes in STEM education that can cover the common themes based on the literature reviews?". The literature search in electronic databases was conducted through the Education Resources Information Center, Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar using the varieties of Keyword such as "STEM education", "STEM Implementation", "STEM definitions", "Instruction", "Curriculum", "Major", "Career". The author concludes that the definitions of STEM education depend on the stakeholders in the implementation. Four key definitions and three scopes that cover those key definitions based on literature reviews are found and discussed.
Hak kepengasuhan di pesantren berganti pada seorang wali asuh yang kemudian dituntut untuk memahami seluruh aspek perkembangan dan mengontrol kegiatan santri agar berjalan secara efektif. Studi ini meneliti bagaimana sistem pola asuh yang diterapkan dalam lingkup wilayah Az-Zainiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa poin penting dalam sistem pola asuh di pesantren. Pertama, wali asuh berperan penting sebagai pengganti orang tua selama berada di pesantren. Kedua, penerapan sistem pola asuh sebagai bentuk praksis pendidikan dalam pesantren. Ketiga, kinerja wali asuh memerlukan perhatian lebih dari semua pihak, baik dari santri yang berperan sebagai wali asuh, pesantren yang diharuskan memberi arahan dan bimbingan dalam hal kepengasuhan santri dan juga jajaran pengasuh yang mengontrol dan memberikan solusi bagi adanya program wali asuh. Implikasi dari studi ini adalah siapapun santri yang diberi tanggung jawab dalam hal pengasuhan, memerlukan strategi yang cukup baik untuk mewujudkan visi dan misi pesantren.Kata Kunci: Wali asuh; sistem; pesantren
The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the effectiveness of the online learning process in the Covid-19 pandemic. The study uses explorative qualitative methods with an inductive approach. In this study, the respondents involved were 5 people from SD Banyuajuh 6 Kamal, consisting of 2 teachers, 2 student guardians, and 1 student. To maintain the confidentiality of respondents' identities, researchers gave the names of respondents P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5. The interviews were conducted in a structured manner with questions compiled and linked and developed with related literature. The results of this study are less effective online learning because of the lack of facilities and infrastructure as well as the unpreparedness of technological education.
This study aims at explaining the behavior of students of the biology-Jakarta State University study program on environmental preservation in the perspective of ecoliteracy and critical thinking skills. Ecoliteracy is an understanding and behavior or the action of a person towards the environment. The results of the study show that there is no effect of the interaction between ecoliteracy and thinking Skills. In addition, there is also no interaction between ecoliteracy and gender. This study supports previous relevant research and provides new empirical information that ecoliteracy and critical thinking skills are the causes of someone contributing to preserving the environment. However, the influence of ecoliteracy interactions and critical thinking skills is not significant. In addition, the interaction in the ecoliteracy and gender perspective needs to be ignored because both of them make the same contribution. Therefore, the application of ecoliteracy must begin early. The application of ecoliteracy can also be integrated into the media that are currently developing rapidly. So that at the university level, the concept of ecoliteracy has emerged in a more creative and innovative form by initiating new innovations in the more advanced environment.
The purpose of this study is to measure the level of self-regulated students obtained from their academic achievements when learning to use Moodle virtual learning environment (VLE) in the practice of the solar system. This study involved 37 students of grade IX junior high school in Paiton Probolinggo, of which 18 students in the experimental group studied using Moodle Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), and 19 students in the control group who studied with conventional learning. In this study, students’ self-regulated measures were measured using a 4-point Likert scale. The results of this study indicate that the level of self-regulated students who learn to use Moodle virtual learning environment (VLE) is higher than students who study conventionally.
