This study focused on the effect of single jersey, single pique, double pique and honeycomb structures and structural cell stitch length (SCSL) on ring and compact yarn single jersey fabric properties. Compact yarn fabrics showed better performance in all the structures and their respective SCSL. With increased SCSL, the dimensional properties like CPI, WPI, SD, grams per square meter, thickness and tightness factor decreased for all the structures, while comfort properties like air permeability and water absorbency increased. The tensile, bending and compression properties of weft knitted fabrics improved and compressional resilience and surface properties generally decreased. Total hand values improved with SCSL. Other properties, such as abrasion resistance, bursting strength and pilling resistance improved with decreased SCSL. Combination order of knit-tuck stitches played an important role in all the properties. Double pique fabric showed better performance for the summer outer wear and single jersey fabric showed better performance for summer inner wear.
Background and aims: Palonosetron 5HT 3 antagonist have been evaluated in delayed chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting but its antiemetic efficacy after middle ear surgery is less clear which is high risk for post operative nausea and vomiting.( PONV). This study aimed to evaluate whether Palonosetron conferred any advantage over Granisetron in terms of duration of prophylaxis and its effect on the incidence and severity of PONV in patients undergoing middle ear surgeries (MES) when used as single dose prophylactic antiemetic.
Methods: One hundred ASA I and II patients of either gender aged 18 to 60 were randomly assigned into group P (Palonosetron n=50) or group G( Granisetron n=50), by computerised randomisation. Analysis was done in terms of incidence and severity of nausea, vomiting and rescue antiemetic usage till 72 hours of surgery.
Results: During 72 hours, group P had more number of complete responders than in group G (56% vs. 34%). This difference was more significant after 24hours. 50% of patients in group G as against 28% in group required rescue antiemetic.
Conclusion: Single dose prophylactic Palonosetron 0.075 mg and 2.5 mg Granisetron conferred similar protection against postoperative nausea and vomiting for initial six hours postoperatively but Palonosetron was more effective than Granisetron for long term prophylaxis over 72 hours against PONV after MES without significant adverse effects.
The agricultural commodity prices have a volatile nature which may increase or decrease inconsistently causing an adverse effect on the economy. The work carried out here for predicting prices of agricultural commodities is useful for the farmers because of which they can sow appropriate crop depending on its future price. Agriculture products have seasonal rates, these rates are spread over the entire year. If these rates are known/alerted to the farmers in advance, then it will be promising on ROI (Return on Investments). It requires that the rates of the agricultural products updated into the dataset of each state and each crop, in this application five crops are considered. The predictions are done based on neural networks Neuroph framework in java platform and also the previous years data. The results are produced on mobile application using android. Web based interface is also provided for displaying processed commodity rates in graphical interface. Agricultural experts can follow these graphs and predict market rates which can be informed to the farmers. The results will be provided based on the location of the users of this application.
