The concept of an eigenpolynomial of a linear operator is introduced, an algorithm for the construction of eigenpolynomials is formulated, and a relationship between eigenpolynomials and polynomial invariants of linear loops of programs is established. The main result obtained is the construction of sets of L-invariants for loops of operators whose Jordan forms contain nontrivial blocks. Keywords: static program analysis, polynomial loop invariant, eigenpolynomial of a linear operator, automatic generation problem.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
