Phase diagram has been refined by the quenching method; the phase composition has been mon itored by NGR spectroscopy. The experimental data agree well with theoretical predictions on the relation of the phase diagram with the character of a chemical bond. It has been shown that the system is essentially non quasi binary because of the selenium exchange between the precipitated iron and the matrix lattice.
Mössbauer technique is employed to the study of ordering of equiatomic FePd and FePt alloys. It is shown that the FePd and FePt alloys have a complex spectrum caused by ordered twins and recrystallization regions. Within the dispersed twins the direction of the magnetization vector does not coincide, in general, with the easy magnetization axis, as can be found from calculations of the exchange energy. The average angle of magnetization vector deviating from the easy magnetization axis is found experimentally and its value is in good agreement with the calculated one.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
