This article presents a very simple model based on gamma functions for MPEG1 and MPEG2 VBR digital video. This model is a simplification of Frey's et al model. It captures first grade statistics and the cyclicity of the autocorrelation function. Buffer overflow losses with the proposed model are of the same magnitude that buffer overflow losses of the original video clips. We have found three zones in the buffer overflow losses under certain conditions. Zone number two is of special interest because identified losses are produced by extraordinary large frames.
The Extended Services Network (XSN), typically performance of a digital cordless telecommunication system local in extent and privately operated, offers conforming to the DECT standard has been developed. The telecommunication services which are rich in features and impact of base stations codiguration. input traffic patterns and performance; examples might be PABX and IEEE 802 handsets mobility on both the capacity and the underlying networks. network is investigated. For the last purpose, the traffic A DECT Fixed Network consists conceptually of three entities [ll:generated by base stations is modelled, outlining signalling traffic which is due mainly to handover procedures. The authors wish to acknowledge the funding of the work by ALCATEL SESA and also the one given by the CAYClT (TIC90-0718) and CIRIT organisations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
