The electromagnetic properties of a metal are considered theoretically for strong quantization of the electron states in a magnetic field. It is shown that a large number of quantum waves should occur with velocities close to the discrete velocities of the electrons on the Fermi surface. The extensce of these waves is due t o the absence of Landau damping in the interval between giant oscillation maxima.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
