-010New Structural State in Melt-Spun Nd-Fe-B Alloys.-Nd-Fe-B alloy ribbons prepared by melt spinning consist of crystallites of 1 µm size. As shown by SEM and TEM investigations, the crystallites are composed of aligned grains of 30-50 µm separated by amorphous interlayers of 3-5 nm width forming a regular net. After heat treatment, the net inside the crystallites disappears. Only one magnetic phase with Tc = 305 • C is detected in annealed ribbons. The formation of this structural state enables the development of an industrial scale method for the production of hard-magnetic R-Fe-B powders for bonded magnets. -(PAMYATNYKH, L. A.; PUSHKARSKY, V.
