1993 thermodynamic functions, thermochemistry thermodynamic functions, thermochemistry E 3000 13 -021 Thermochemistry of Binary Liquid Alloys of Copper with Barium and Lanthanoid Metals (Europium, Dysprosium and Ytterbium). -The heats of mixing for binary liquid alloys of Cu with Ba and with the rare earth metals Eu and Yb in the Cu-rich concentration range and in the Cu-Dy system over the total concentration range are measured by isoperibolic calorimetry. The enthalpies of mixing increase with increasing atomic number. An increase of the component interaction energy is found in the sequence Ba ¡ Eu ¡ Yb ¡ Dy. Model analysis of the results is discussed. -(USENKO, N. I.; IVANOV, M. I.; PETIUH, V. M.; WITUSIEWICZ, V. T.; J.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
