The article considers the spectrum of issues of development of deposits. We give a brief description of the structure: their geological structure, information about the properties of productive rocks (reservoirs). Considerable attention is paid to the technical means and technologies for the construction of wells in the operational and geological exploration area. The article touches upon the issues of field development, aspects of safety and environment.

The paper reviews integrated issues of safety and risks of technosphere objects. Importance of complex consideration of technogenic, natural and human reasons for onset and progress of emergencies is stressed. Issues of multi-object earlystage diagnostics (including acoustic emission, fragile strain-sensitive covers and aerosols) are up-to-date challenges for potentially hazardous oil and gas facilities of crucial and strategic importance. Such diagnostics promote prevention of crashes and catastrophes.
