The incorporation of tungsten oxides on the surface of the oxidized aluminum alloy was investigated. Deposition was carried out in two ways – during the process of plasma‐electrolytic oxidation (PEO) and by impregnation of the oxide in solutions of tungsten salts. The experimental program was performed using a central composite rotatable planning. It is established that the amount of tungsten oxides in coatings obtained by PEO in mixed silicate‐tungstate electrolyte is 50 times higher than in coatings received by PEO in silicate electrolyte with following soaking in WO42− containing solutions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
