The Vankor oil field is in the third stage of the development. Well stock mostly includes horizontal and directional wells. Analysis of the field development showed that actual development rate is much higher than planned. Energy potential of the field is drained out due to formation pressure decline and water flooding. New technologies for restoring well productivity, such as acid treatment and hydraulic fracturing should be introduced to maintain planned development rate. Drilling multilateral wells should be used as main enhanced oil recovery technique.
At late stage of development of gas fields they need to solve the specific issues of increasing the production rate of wells and decreasing water cut. The available experience of development of gas and gas condensate fields proves, that the most effective method of removing of water, accumulating in wells, is an injection into the bottom hole zone of foam-forming compositions, based on surfactants. The most technological in the application was the use of solid and liquid surfactants. Installation in wells of lift columns of smaller diameter ensured the removal of liquid from the bottom hole of wells, but after few month of exploitation the conditions of removal of liquid from the bottom hole of wells deteriorate. The technologies of concentric lift systems and plunger-lift systems are used in small number of wells. The basic technology for removal of liquid from bottom hole of gas wells at present time is the technology of treatment of bottom hole of wells with solid surfactants.
The analysis of well operation at the Yamburgskoye field was carried out. It has been established that the number of self-kill wells depends on the velocity of the gas-liquid flow in the well production tubing. However, in most production wells, the gas-liquid flow rate was below the minimum for fluid production from the wellbore. One of the effective methods to combat self-kill of wells is processing well bottom-holes with compositions of solid and liquid surfactants. The developed surfactant compositions make it possible to remove a condensation liquid with an admixture of formation water from wells, without adversely affecting the gas gathering network and the booster complex.
In the case of self-kill of wells, the gas flow velocity in the lifting column is not sufficient for carrying to the surface of the liquid, accumulated in the wellbore. To select the optimal technology and composition for conducting water shutoff treatment, it is necessary to take into account the following factors: which reservoirs represent the reservoir, the percentage of water cut in the recoverable reserves, the tightness of the production string, the current flow rate of the well during operation at constant reservoir pressure, because each field needs an individual approach with a choice suitable water shuto-ff treatment technology.
