Using the reaction of anaphylaxis with desensitization on guinea pigs, the antigenic structure of lymphoid organs in leukemia and other pathologies of cattle was studied. It is believed that neoplasia is the result of a distortion of the gene activity program due to the introduction of an oncogenic virus into the cell genome, integration with other biological objects, or gene mutation. All this leads to the emergence, first of all, of quantitative anomalies, expressed in continuous, uncontrolled cell division, cell migration and changes in their biochemical activity. In all likelihood, the essence of the identified differences described in the article is that in the biological fluids of cows with leukemia there are, in addition to BLV antigens, water-soluble leukemia-associated antigens.
The analysis of the epizootic situation of cattle leukemia in the Siberian Federal District as a whole and in individual regions of the district is given. The study was carried out in the Republics of Altai, Tuva and Khakassia, in the Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories and in five regions: Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Tomsk. The materials of diagnostic studies obtained by veterinary specialists of the Siberian Federal District for 2017-2019 are presented. This information has been analyzed and summarized both for the Siberian Federal District as a whole and for its individual constituent entities. Studies show the spread of bovine leukemia virus infection in the whole district. A tense epizootic situation with cattle leukemia was noted, since the Siberian Federal District ranks second in Russia in terms of the number of adverse locations (322). However, compared to 2017, the number of adverse locations in 2019 decreased by 57, sick animals - by 977 heads, infected animals - by 70836 heads. The number of adverse locations has decreased slightly, while the number of infected animals in some regions has increased. As of January 1, 2020, no hematologically sick animals were found in the Republics of Altai, Khakassia, Buryatia and Tuva, but the number of animals infected with BLV increased. The experience of individual regions of the country that are free from BLV infection (Sverdlovsk, Vologda, Leningrad, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Kostroma, Kirov regions, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, etc.) shows that bovine leukemia is an infection that can be controlled. It is possible to eliminate the disease in herds of cattle with any level of BLV infection as a result of carrying out complex health-improving measures, as well as organizational and veterinary-sanitary measures with the obligatory removal of sick and BLV infected animals from the herd.
The urgency of the studied problem is due to the need for epizootic monitoring of equine infectious diseases in the Altai Krai and the lack of basic information on the relative and absolute parameters of changes in the epizootic process, scientific, methodological and practical aspects of the assessment of potential risks. The purpose of the article is to study the epizootic process for each nosological form of equine infectious diseases in the Altai Krai based on statistical information over the period from 1964 to 2017. Epizootic method is a leading method of the study of this problem, which allows the identification and discussion of the association of equine infectious diseases with natural and geographical conditions in the Altai Krai. The article presents data on intensive parameters of the epizootic process of equine infectious diseases and their changes with a description of periodic changes in the Altai Krai. The materials of the article provide veterinary and biology specialists with information on the epizootics of various nosological forms of equine infectious diseases in the Altai Krai.
African swine fever (ASF) is a particularly dangerous viral infectious disease causing great damage to pig breeding due to high contagiousness, lethality and need for complete elimination of infected and healthy pigs in the epizootic focus and the threatened zone. The article describes the data on epizootic monitoring of ASF in the Altai Krai for the last nine years. The current legislative acts on the basis of which measures are taken to combat and prevent the disease are presented. The results of laboratory tests for the presence of the ASF pathogen of biological material, plant feed, raw materials and finished products of pig breeding imported from other entities of the Russian Federation are presented. The main preventive measures against carrying ASF carried out by the veterinary service are described. Thanks to the comprehensive preventive work of the veterinary service, the Altai Krai remains a prosperous region for ASF.
