This article, presents the results of the research on the creation, organization, administration and promotion of the Cricova wine complex. In this, representative elements ensuring the attractiveness of the town from the tourist point of view have been identified. The Cricova wine complex is a system of underground galleries created after the extraction of conchiferous limestone since ancient times. The idea ofusing these galleries as wine warehouses was agreed upon by winemakers Petru Ungureanu and Nicolae Sobolev, in response to solving the problem of the lack of specially designed rooms for storing, processing and maturing wines from the 1950s. Currently, the complex covers the area of 53 hectares, and the underground galleries transformed into streets have a total length of 120 kilometers. Throughout the year, the temperature in the underground galleries remains constant, around + 12...+ 14 °C and the relative air humidity is around 97–98%. The uniqueness of the Underground Complex provides material and spiritual heritage of the tasting rooms, a museum with exhibits from all times (prehistoric, ancient, medieval and modern), a national wine collection with over 200 wine brands from different regions of the world, organizing tourist events.
This article evaluates the effects of urbanization on the land use within the Chisinau agglomeration. The research carried out regarding situation in Stăuceni commune, confirms that the peri-urban area, undergoes a period of significant spatial and functional transformation, influenced by the demographic pressure, poorly controlled urban development and the intensification of the land relations. By implementing the project “Chisinau Arena” on the territory of Stăuceni commune, the plan for territorial expansion of Chisinau city (in peri-urban areas located on major transport axes) is reconfirmed. At the same time, the demographic forecast presented in scenario III, according to UN for population, shows that the Chisinau population will decrease dramatically, towards 2035, therefore it is necessary that the spatial planning plans to be adapted quickly to the pace of demographic changes, to avoid compromising the infrastructure projects and squandering land in the suburban areas.
This article emphasizes the importance of remittances on Moldovan income and economic growth. As a result of the increase in the flow of migrants, remittances have become an important factor in the country‘s GDP (in 2017, 20.6% of GDP). According to the Household Budget Survey the income from remittances directly affects the welfare of Moldovan households. In this study, the dependency of marginalized categories of the population (families with many children, elderly people and rural population) on the remittances of Moldovan migrants is analyzed. In rural areas, remittances account for more than 20% of the average disposable income.
At present, the need for comparative studies of human development is increasingly emerging within an attempt to follow the level reached by states, regions or human communities in certain administrative-territorial units, aiming to assess the effectiveness of development policies applied by regional and local governments or administrations, beyond certain statistical indicators or series attesting to certain aspects of human development. In this context, the HDI applied by the UN includes four components of human development and provides a generalization of human development globally at the world's states level. In our study, we intend to develop the given indicator, including a much larger number of indices and indicators at the level of the 613 settlements within of the Centre Development Region, in the context of the implementation of the Regional Development Strategy of the Republic of Moldova.
