Graphs are considered as an excellent modeling tool which is used to model many type of relations amongst any physical situation. Many problems of real world can be represented by graphs. This paper explores different concepts involved in graph theory and their applications in computer science to demonstrate the utility of graph theory. These applications are presented especially to project the idea of graph theory and to demonstrate its objective and importance in computer science engineering.
This paper present a routing protocol for the applications of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). PEGASIS protocol is a chain-based routing scheme. One of the key problems for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is the design of energyefficient Routing Algorithm, because sensor energy is limited.Earliar pegasis protocol is based on two parameters i.e Distance and Residual energy. In this paper modification is being carried out in decision parameter i.e response which check the response of nearby node before transmitting the data as well as specify the proposed algorithm for the modified pegasis protocol. Main aim is to to increase network lifetime as well as increase the presence of live nodes so that more nodes will remain exist.
In the present article, we have established a result on indexed Norlund summability factors by generalizing a theorem of Mishra and Sivastava [5] on Cesaro summabilty factors.
Sickle cell haemoglobin D disease (D-Punjab) is a rare variant of sickle cell disease (SCD) reported from central India. Exact incidence of pulmonary thrombosis in patients with HbSD is unknown. Pulmonary thrombosis is known complication of SCD but rare in case of HbSD pattern. We reported a case of 34-year-old male patient with HbSD (D-Punjab) with acute chest syndrome (ACS). CT pulmonary angiogram revealed near complete thrombosis of right middle lobe segmental and subsegmental branches with pulmonary infarct. Our patient responded to anticoagulant therapy. This case report is a reminder that HPLC should be done in all patients with sickle cell disease along with solubility test and hemoglobin electrophoresis to detect exact incidence of hemoglobin D disease in central India.
Introduction:Anemia of chronic disease is defined as anemia occurring in chronic infections, inflammatory conditions or neoplastic disorders that are not due to marrow deficiencies or other diseases, and occurring despite presence of adequate iron stores and vitamins.
Methods: A total of 40 patients were selected for the study. Participants were divided into two groups viz group A (test group; n=20) with moderate to severe periodontitis and group B (control group; n=20) with periodontally healthy subjects. The patients chosen for the study had at least 30% or more of teeth having greater than or equal to 4 mm probing depth. Clinical parameters like gingival index (GI), Sulcus Bleeding Index (SBI), plaque index (PI),probing pocket depth (PD) and clinical attachment levels (CAL) were recorded for all the patients and blood parameters (hemoglobin and red blood cell count) were determined from peripheralblood samples. The results were analyzed statistically.
Results: The mean values of hemoglobin (Hb) and red blood cell (RBC) count were significantly reduced in test group as compared to control group.
Conclusion: A positive relationship was observed between the blood parameters viz. Hb, RBC count, and the severity of the chronic periodontal disease. Like other chronic conditions, periodontitis can tend towards anemia showing their association.
Keywords: Anemia, Chronic Periodontitis, Hemoglobin (Hb), Red Blood Cell Count (RBC Count).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
