Over the years the pharmaceutical profession has undergone many modifications, presenting as a fundamental consequence to the discharacterization of pharmacies due to commercial practice and the disconnecting of the pharmacist of its assignments. The purpose of this article consisted in the analysis of pharmacist's responsibilities in pharmaceutical prescription. A review of literature was carried out through the simultaneous advanced research in electronic databases Medline, Bireme, Lilacs and Scielo in articles, laws, normatives, resolutions, related to the proposed theme, with the purpose of making it clearer, Providing greater familiarity with the study. The revision demonstrated that the current legislation restricts the pharmaceuticals ' assignment to the pharmaceutical indication practice within the private or public pharmacy, as well as the pharmaceutical prescription in the health environments, thereby emphasizing the dispensing of prescription-free medicines, medicinal plants and herbal remedies. The tasks of these professionals are now regulated both by the Federal Pharmacy Council and ANVISA, but it is also noted the need to publish new legislation as a way of simplifying the understanding of the legislation Current. Since self-medication is a frequent activity in Brazil, especially in the consumption of prescription-free remedies, it is necessary to stress that the individual is aware of its probable risks.
Os profissionais de saúde são mais propensos a se envolverem em situações de estresse devido à demanda de trabalho ser muito elevada e o estilo de vida irregular, além do desgaste físico, psíquico inclusive por falta de apoio dos colegas e gestores. Por essa razão, o consumo de medicamentos psicoativas tem se tornado bastante comum entre os profissionais de saúde. O presente estudo tem a finalidade de elucidar e discorrer sobre os fatores que favorecem o abuso de medicamento psicoativos por profissionais de saúde. Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o impacto que tais medicamentos possuem nos profissionais e como isso influencia na qualidade do serviço prestado. Trata-se de estudo explicativo e descritivo, por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica, ao qual se fundamentou em trabalhos científicos já publicados entre os anos de 2016 a 2021 em língua portuguesa e inglesa e que tratem especificamente sobre a temática proposta. A coleta de dados se deu em base de banco de dados, tais como Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), Lilacs, Scielo, PubMed, e Google Acadêmico. A busca resultou em 23 artigos após utilização dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão; restaram 15 artigos para análise, interpretação e discussão. Nos resultados, ficou evidente considerar que diversas categorias de profissionais da área da saúde, como enfermeiros, médicos, farmacêuticos e até docentes fazem uso regular de medicamentos psicoativos. A razão para seu uso, em grande parte, está significativamente associada ao estresse ocupacional. Os efeitos são diferentes ao desejado, impactando inclusive na qualidade do serviço prestado pelos profissionais em questão.
Research that takes account of popular uses of medicinal plants, also in urban areas, is important records to subsidize health actions more effectively and safely and maintain the local cultural heritage, as advocated by the national policy of medicinal plants. This study aimed to survey the use of medicinal plants by residents of the municipality of Aliança the Tocantins. In 2011, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 70 informants in the urban environment, Aliança of Tocantins. Most claimed to have acquired knowledge about medicinal plants with parents and grandparents, 60% and 25.7%, respectively. 62.9% of the interviewees obtained the plants in their backyard and 30% in the backyard of neighbors or relatives. The families with the highest number of species were Lamiaceae with 4 species (40%), Asteraceae and Malvaceae with 2 species each (20%). There were 82 therapeutic properties about the species mentioned, with a higher number of citations for "other indications" (25.6%), such as pain in general, back pain, malaise, dizziness, among others. The most used form of preparation was tea (81.4%) and the leaf was the most used organ (81.4%). Of the informants, 61.4% prefer to use home remedies instead of industrialized medicines. The informants, even living in the urban environment (82.8%), still know and frequently use the local medicinal flora, this being an indication of strong local cultural appeal and feasibility of encouraging green backyards.
Irrational use of medicines is understood as the process that includes the prescription, dispensing and use of medicines incorrectly. A pharmacy homemade is characterized as a clear example of this practice, cooperating through the storage of medicines in homes for the waste of them, either by a certain amount stored or by drugs with an expired shelf life. Thus, this study aimed to investigate whether there was a waste of medicines from their irrational use in the community living in the Vila Iris neighborhood of Gurupi-TO. This research was characterized as a descriptive exploratory field with qualitative and quantitative analysis. It was carried out with residents living in the Vila Íris neighborhood of Gurupi-TO, registered at the Family Health Unit (FHU) Hugo Naves Cansado, data collection took place from home visits with questionnaire application during July and August 2011. 142 legal guardians of the residences were interviewed, of this 70.42 % were female, in 90.52% of the households participating in the research there was drug storage and the average was 2.41 drugs per household, according to the results from this research it was possible to notice that in the community of neighborhood Vila Iris, Gurupi-TO, there was a waste of medicines. Although most of the drugs present in the researched houses were acquired by medical indication, the possibility of irrational use of medications is not ruled out mainly due to a lack of adequate guidance.
