The study aims to understand the influence of natural and social elements of the living technologies with the semi-arid environment in the communities located in Morgado and Gregório which belong to the Massapê County inserted to the state of Ceara northwest in Brazil and belongs to basin of Acaraú. In this perspective, the focus was directed to the Integrated Agroecology and Sustainable production technology-PAIS, developed by the community residents. The study agenda is based on the approach of the General Systems Theory proposed by Bertalanffy in 1930. Dedicated to the Theory, considering the nature, economy and local sustainability, which are three elements prevalent in the context of the observed landscapes in the Study areas. It is noted that in the communities the influence of semiaridity has predominated in a prolonged period, affecting mainly agriculture, however to mitigate the effects PAIS technology was used as a significant alternative for small producers, mainly in offering benefits to the families that family farming, providing improvements in the quality of life.
The present research is the result of the geomorphological mapping project of the Serra da Meruoca located in the northwest of the state of Ceará, having as objective to map the relief based on Ross taxonomy [1]. Geomorphological mapping is one of the main methods and products of geomorphological research, contributing to the understanding of the dynamics of the relief, considering that it presents itself as the stage of human activities. The materials and methods consist of the stage of bibliographic review, systematization of information and generation of cartographic products, followed by analysis and interpretation. The results and discussions present the physical characterization of the area followed by the classification of the relief up to the third taxonomic level. Thus, the systematization of geomorphological information brings important contributions to the geomorphological mapping of the Morphosculpture of the Meruoca Crystalline Massif, which has no research of this nature. The mapping effectiveness was evidenced with the aforementioned methodology.
The objective of this manuscript is to present comments about the social technology involving the production of renewable energy using the digesters implemented by the Paulo Freire project in some country estates in Massapê and Jordão. For this, visits were necessary for these two municipalities, where it is possible to realize the importance of these digesters for the local people. Furthermore, some aspects affect the production in the field, such as the interaction among types of social technology and the importance of available natural resources for obtaining results that impact positively on the local economy and sustainable rural development. The diffusion of rural and environmentally sustainable development actions goes through the guarantee of resources for the development and autonomy of the population.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
