The purpose of this research is to analyse the impact of demographic and socioeconomic factors on the assessment of the directions of rural area development in the context of the administrative and territorial reform in Ukraine. This article is based on the analysis of the results obtained in the course of a sociological survey conducted by the authors in 2018 concerning residents of the Znob-Novgorod United Territorial Community (UTC) of Sumy region in order to identify problems and development priorities when elaborating the Development Strategy for the period 2019-2025. Three age groups were identified: up to 35 years old (29.7%), 35 years old to 60 years old (52.4%), and over 60 years old (17.9%), which reflects all major age groups of UTC residents. Young people and seniors are more positive about life in the community, as the main responsibility for solving economic and domestic problems lies with middle-aged people. The share of positively adjusted respondents is growing, with the increase in the level of income received from the minimum to the average in the region. A number of problems, such as environmental, infrastructural and educational issues, are of greater concern to middle-aged people than to young people and older generations. Persons with a higher level of education, in comparison with other major problems, consider insufficient social initiative and activity ECONOMIC ANNALS-XXI PRODUCTIVE FORCES DEVELOPMENT AND REGIONAL ECONOMY
The results of research on increasing resistance of winter wheat varieties of different geographical origins to adverse weather conditions in the zone of unstable moistening in the North-Eastern Forest Steppe of Ukraine have been summarized. Rational use of agrometeorological resources made it possible to determine optimal terms of work on the elements of cultivation technology, taking into account weather conditions of the current year nd on their basis, to improve adaptive technologies for growing winter wheat varieties. This contributed to increase of yielding capacity, quality of grain and sustainability of agriculture. Such conditions were favorable for winter wheat crops of late sowing periods, the plants of which reached tillering phase on a significant part already in winter period. Yielding capacity of winter wheat by sowing dates (on average by varieties
The article analyzes the prospects for the development of the export potential of the crop industry in Ukraine. Based on the analysis of statistical data over the past 20 years, it has been established that the reform of the agricultural sector of the economy, which took place in the early 2000s, led to the creation of large agricultural companies, which concentrated in their hands most of the agricultural land and were able to significantly increase the volume of exports. agricultural products. It was revealed that the growth rates of exports of crop products significantly exceed the growth rates of exports of both products of the agricultural sector as a whole, and exports in general for the Ukrainian economy as a whole. The basis of the export potential is made up of grains and oilseeds. At the same time, it is shown that the last 4 years, the export of oilseeds, and over the last 2 years and cereals to a certain extent, has stabilized, which indicates a possible approach to the border of export opportunities for traditional types of agricultural products. The share of crop production over the past decade has increased by about 3 times, and grain - by 4 times. On the one hand, this is evidence of the growing importance of the agricultural sector of the Ukrainian economy in the national economy, and on the other hand, it is evidence of the fact that our country is a supplier of raw materials. According to the authors, Ukraine has almost reached the export potential of the physical volumes of crop production. Their further increase can lead to serious disruptions in the domestic market and cause a significant reduction in the production of livestock products, which already do not meet the needs of the population in livestock food. Over the past 7 years, the volume of physical exports has grown by 76%, and in value terms - by 43.6%. This is evidence of the fact that building up export potential through increased sales of raw materials is strategically unprofitable. It is concluded that it is necessary to change the structure of exports in favor of processed products of crop production.
The article is devoted to the study of the problem of assessing and forecasting the stability of competitive positions of agricultural enterprises. The analysis of theoretical approaches to the definition of the studied categories is carried out. Based on the essence of the competitive position, a methodical approach to assessing the competitive position of an agricultural enterprise is substantiated: a method of comparing the rate of change of the main economic indicators of an agricultural enterprise and the industry as a whole is proposed. The article calculates the forecast values of the integrated stability index of the competitive position and its components using the method of exponential smoothing using the Brown-Mayer model, which allowed to assess the dynamics and trends of agricultural enterprise. A model is proposed, which can not only assess the level of competitive position of the enterprise, but also identify areas of change in the level of competitive position of the enterprise as a whole and in terms of individual components, develop conceptual frameworks for effective management decisions.
