The present work deals with the assessment of the ground water of some selected area of the Indore city. The investigation was carried out in the month of March and April-2012. The sites were selected to cover the Indore city including residential, commercial, industrial and agriculture area. Various parameters were studied andcompared with the IS specification. Some parameters have been foundundesirable in some location, mainly KabirKhedi and Pologround area which need proper attention. Rest of the sample area has deviation within desirable and undesirable extent of tolerance.
In this review article, we try to cover various studies have been done on 2’-hydroxyacetophenone based schiff bases and formed metal complexes such as Formation with diamine, amino acids etc., antibacterial, antifungal, cytotoxicity, larvicidal, oxidation-reduction and schiff base Formation with different amine group containing compounds etc.
Newly Zn(II)-salicylidene–4–(p-chlorophenyl)–2–aminothiazole (SCAT) ligand was synthesized and studied in DMF media by the polarographic method and produce a DC and DPP polarogram in KCl (supporting electrolyte) with Britton- Robinson buffer. The far FT- IR spectral study show signals at 465 and 412 cm−1 respectively which confirm the metal-ligand bonding. The serial tube dilution method (MIC) was used for investigating the antibacterial activity of this newly synthesized complex and ligand toward pathogenic bacteria, B. subtilis, and E. coli. The results concluded that the ligand enhanced the biological activity when it binds with Zn(II) ion.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
