ResumoEste trabalho tem como objetivo estabelecer um quadro comparativobaseado na literatura científica vigenteentre o comportamento mecânico sob irradiação neutrônica dos Aços Inoxidáveis Austeníticos e as ligas de Zircônio empregados ostensivamente em componentes estruturais de instalações nucleares, como reatores e submarinos. O conhecimento do dano induzido pela irradiação nos materiais é de fundamental importância para os projetos de engenharia para minimização das probabilidades de risco de acidentes.
