In previous work [5] we have developed a generalised query minimisation based on minimum entropy technique [2] for diagnosing incorrect answers in the context of program debugging. This approach is adapted from model-based diagnosis. In this paper the query minimisation has been explored further to source program debugging [ l ] and to program diagnosis with missing answers. We argue that by allowing different ways of regarding diagnosis candidates this technique can be applied, as a general framework, for debugging many types of errors.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
