The general development of the sports world has guided researchers in sports science to study excellence in sports performance, namely, the study of the characteristics and requirements specific to each sport. However, in order to meet these requirements, each individual must have a set of specific characteristics similar to those of the group to which he/she belongs. The variables in the study are related to the psychomotor abilities and psychological aspects that could influence the overall performance of junior III handball players. The main work instruments are related to field testing and psychological characteristics measurement. For psychomotor abilities, we used means such as the TReactionCo software (eye–hand coordination), Just Jump platform (dynamic balance), Tractronix system (general dynamic coordination), and Illinois test (spatial-temporal orientation), and for the psychological characteristics, we used the Motivational Persistence Questionnaire. In addition, the result of the study is represented by new software that we created in order to better observe the level of development of these characteristics in junior handball players. From a statistical point of view, we calculated the correlations between psychomotor abilities and psychological characteristics using ANOVA in order to see field position differences and performed linear regression for the variables of this study.
The Polytopes by Iannis Xenakis is the collective name of a series of spatial multimedia installations and musical land art pieces realised on the second half of the 20th century, which take part in the tradition that links Richard Wagner’s conception of the total art work, the Gesamtkunstwerk. In the first decade of the same century, Alexander Scriabin envisioned his interpretation of a total art work, the utopian multimedia and multisensorial symphony Mysterium. By providing a brief description of the Concept of Polymediality (2003) and representative compositions associated with its two dimensions, this paper forms the hypothesis that all aforementioned works come under the contemporary notion of ‘augmented reality’. This is understood within a hybrid and polyaesthetic context, in which the composer defines a spatial unity of all media elements interacting with the music.
The purpose of this research study was to examine whether the values of some strength indices in primary school students are different in girls than in boys after the Covid 19. The sample included in the research consisted of 63 primary school students. The research focused on the following muscle groups: upper and lower limbs, abdominal and lumbar region. An Independent - Samples T Test was used to interpret the results. Significant differences were found for the Standing long jump and from Bench press.
The sample comprised in the research was represented by 57 students (29 girls (145.4±7.28 cm, 38.97±9.89 kg)) and 28 boys (143±6.55 cm, 38.61±8.22 kg)), aged between 10 – 12 years old. The types of measurements included in the study were as follows: anthropometrical measurements and biomotor measurements (standing long jump, abdominal endurance, motion velocity, and resistance). Results. Among girls, the analysis of Pearson’s correlation between the series of results indicates significant connectionsbetween the trials of standing long jump and 30-m speed run (r = 0.45, p=0.012), resistance run and torso raises, respectively (r = -0.57, p=0.001). Among boys, the significant differences were recorded between the BMI and the standing long jump (r=-0.39, p=0.036), 30-m speed run and standing long jump (r=-0.56, p=0.001) and 30-m speed run and 200-m resistance run (r=0.42, p=0.022).
