The innovative nature of an engineering company has such indicators as the presence of innovative products on the market; developing/acquiring innovations costs; the number of patents applied for during the year. In addition to these external innovation properties, the existence of emergent quality of the company determines a whole range of internal and external factors. The relevance of this paper is to study them. Also, the main purpose is to identify the most common obstacles that arise in the way of innovative growth of national companies. The research methodology consisted in conducting a survey of representatives of the top management of engineering companies and analyzing the answers. It allowed to outline the general problem of innovation management in the national economy, as well as to identify the most significant factors that determine the innovation of companies to a greater or lesser extent. As a result, the article provides a meaningful interpretation of these factors and formulates hypotheses about their quantitative measurability. Practical testing of the proposals made on specific economic entities will allow to form a source data set for engineering of a standard management model of the company’s innovative growth. In turn, such model can be used as the basis for the appropriate corporate standard development.
Issues of organizational structure did not find due attention in the creation of economic systems. In the search for ways to improve the effectiveness and/or efficiency of an enterprise (corporation, holding entity), its organizational structure is rarely subjected to some methodological analysis. Restructuring usually comes down to subjective decisions of the top-management and often leads to an uncontrolled increase of the organizational units depending on its ambitions. However, tougher competition and the need to find an innovative way of development brings analysts to reconsider their attitude to the organizational structure of economic entities. In actual conditions of equal access to the main factors of production (raw materials, labor resources, production technologies, financial capital), the competitive advantage have those economic entities that create the best organizational structure. Using the same factors of production as other market players, they are faster and more efficient due to a better work organization. This article attempts to study the phenomenon of organizational structure from a systemic perspective, relying on the apparatus of organizational design, on the one hand, and the modern theory of innovative development, on the other hand, in order to develop a universal model of the organizational structure of an economic entity that is adaptive to high dynamics of economic development. This model is designed to provide both flexibility (responsiveness) of the organizational structure to the requirements of the external environment, and rigidity (stability) regarding the preservation of its functionality.
Currently, a large-scale reform of the development institutions of the Russian Federation is planned and has begun to be implemented. The end result of the reform should be a fundamentally new ecosystem of investment support for technological growth processes. One of the important goals of a such ecosystem formation is to ensure the high competitiveness of the domestic world’s economy, as well as the compliance of the goals, strategies and policies of the development institutions in accordance with the Unifed Plan for achieving National Goals until 2030*. The authors of the paper concluded that today there were only general features of the reform of development institutions and were not defned such features as: future algorithms for institutions functioning, mechanisms of functioning, project selection mechanisms, project management mechanisms for monitoring the effectiveness of development institutions.
