The present research considered the issues of harmonizing supply chain management (SCM) standards of the Russian Federation with European standards and aimed to confirm the assumption that the increase in international trade volumes directly depends on the availability of appropriate logistics facilities and their management. The performed analysis statistically confirmed the hypothesis that the volume of foreign trade directly depends on the compliance of SCM standards with international requirements. The study provided several recommendations concerning the SCM standards' harmonization. These include simplifying customs clearance procedures and increasing transparency and efficiency of operations through the use of information technology and shared databases.
