Introduction. Strengthening of the positions of large and very large agricultural enterprises, employing large area of lands, is one of the characteristics of the Ukrainian agricultural sector. This raises fears concerning negative social consequences of the process. Improvement of the agrarian production model requires application of high standards of social responsibility in the activity of large land users. The purpose of the research is to propose instruments to evaluate social responsibility of agricultural enterprises, describe peculiarities and trends in the formation and development of social responsibility of large agricultural land users, basing on such instruments. Results. The article proves a dependence of social expenses by agricultural enterprises on their land use. The authors give proposals concerning application of the criteria of evaluation of some forms of social responsibility by agricultural enterprises and determine positive and negative social consequences of large agricultural land users' performance according to the criteria. The work confirms higher social responsibility of large agricultural enterprises established with participation of foreign capital, their positive impact on the formation of high standards of social responsibility in the branch. The authors of the article describe problems of information supply for the analysis of social responsibility and stress reasonability to introduce voluntary social reporting by business entities. Conclusions. The study of statistical reports of agricultural enterprises has helped to evaluate their social responsibility according to the following criteria: maintenance of an adequate remuneration level, responsibility in the organisation of land lease, ecological responsibility through the formation of parameters of their economic activity, creation of job positions, submission of objective financial reports, etc. High social responsibility supports existing large agricultural enterprises. This, however, does not preclude the need to restrict their growing land use and to deprive them of the right to certain elements of state support which is rendered to smaller agrarian producers.
Introduction. An increase in the volume of agricultural markets forces intensification of the domestic and international traffic and aggravates anthropogenic burden on the environment. To solve the problem of greening of transport and logistics systems, it is necessary to make appropriate decisions at different levels. The purpose of the research is to propose ways of greening of the transport and logistics systems that cause the heaviest anthropogenic burden. Results. The work emphasises the necessity to apply a systemic approach to consideration of the transport component of regional agricultural markets. The authors of the article define the greening of transport and logistics systems as implementation of a set of organisational and technological safeguards concerning the process of optimisation of energy expenditures and safety of the forms of energy transformation on transition of material flows by logistics chains. The work examines experience of European transport and logistics companies concerning the implementation of the fundamentals of green logistics and the possible application of the relevant experience in domestic circumstances. It is stressed that organisational and managerial ways of greening of transport of and logistics systems of regional agricultural markers in Ukraine expects a reduction in the randomness of transport flows, their optimisation and support of modality of shipping operations, as well as raising efficiency of the application of road traffic which is viewed to be the most environmentally dangerous. Technical and technological reserves of motor transport greening are seen in the implementation of the concept of sustainable truck transport, which includes technical and behavioural aspects. It is confirmed that principal changes require replacement of the existing vehicle fleet with modern vehicles of Euro 5 and Euro 6 standards, and, in the future, with hybrid cars running on electric motors. It is determined that in Ukraine there are violations of ecological norms due to their imperfection and loyalty of the institute of responsibility. However, the international liabilities require Ukraine to harmonise its ecological laws to the norms and standards of the EU, securing improvement of environmental conditions. Conclusions. The greening of transport and logistics systems of regional agricultural markets requires setting the conditions, which can neutralise anthropogenic burden by the environmental capability to self-reproduction. To green transport and logistics systems of regional agricultural markets, it is reasonable to consider organisational, managerial, technical, technological, legal and regulatory aspects of development. The implementation of the mentioned directions should be based on the concept of green logistics. To apply the concept in Ukrainian realities, it is necessary to master the experience of European transport and logistics companies.
The article outlines the current problems and contradictions in the waste management system in Ukraine from the standpoint of ensuring the ecological stability of the Eastern European region. The accepted paradigm of creating a recirculating economy is provided by a territorially balanced waste management system in the regions of Ukraine. The coefficient of territorial provision of utilization capacities has been proposed and tested, which allowed the evaluation of their existing potential integrally, and determined the formed regional disproportions between waste generation and utilization. In order to solve the existing imbalances in Ukraine in a comprehensive way, the stage of transition to recirculating recycling technologies of waste is proposed. The mathematical formalization of the problem of waste management in Ukraine specifies the space-time parameters of solving the problem of the system balance and provides the variability of input and output parameters for solving empirical problems.
In the article the place of Ukraine is determined in a global transport system and attention is accented on disparity between the potential possibilities of the transport and logistics system and the real parameters of international transit through the territory of Ukraine. It is proved that a qualitative assessment of the transport and logistics system, for its adaptation to the world requirements, needs to be carried out according to the internationally recognized methods, in particular, the Logistics Performance Index ( LPI) developed and implemented by the World Bank. The method takes into account the assessment of six indicators: “Customs”; Infrastructure; “International shipments”; “Logistics competence”; “Tracking & tracing”; “Timeliness”. The most developed components of the Ukrainian logistics system are the possibility of laying routes and tracking of goods, and, accordingly, timeliness of their deliveries, and the least developed - the quality of trade and transport infrastructure. The outlined problems of logistics in Ukraine and the explored causes of their occurrence allowed to structure the directions of improvement of all components of LPI, which will help to increase the transit potential of the country’s transport and logistics system.
This article outlines the problem of waste accumulation as well as the associated environmental consequences in Ukraine due to the disparities between waste generation and utilization capacities. The analysis of quantitative parameters of waste generation sources and the territorial structure of Ukraine’s utilization capacities was carried out, and the spatial assessment of waste management system balance within regions was made. The work also identifies stages of territorially balanced management systems formation within the scope of current recycling technologies in the regional dimension. Methodological approaches to researching the balance conditions of waste management systems at the regional level are substantiated, which presupposes a mathematical model of these processes through the development of a system of equations, which depending on the tasks determine either the timing of the outlined phases of solving waste management issues based on available investment resources, or the amount of funds required to ensure proper timing of the innovative disposal facilities commissioning.
